Hi SJA Parents! I hope you all had an amazing summer! I'm SO excited to come back to SJA as the PYP Physical Education and Health Teacher and the Lunch Coordinator! I went to Brock University for the Concurrent Education program and I have a Bachelor of Arts in Child Psychology, as well as a Bachelor of Education in Primary/Junior. I’m also qualified to teach ESL and Special Education. I am currently completing my Masters Degree in Education! I will be teaching Junior Kindergarten to Grade 3 each day! JK - Grade 2 will have Phys Ed at SJA in GYM 1. Grade 3 will be bused over to the Athletic Complex every other day with me! September 10-14

Hi Everyone,

I hope you are all having an amazing weekend!

This past week we learned all about the STARS program. If the students get 20 STARS by the end of the week - They get "Fun Friday" which is a game of their choice.
S-SPORTSMANSHIP
T-TEAMWORK
A-ATTITUDE
R-RESPECT
S-SAFETY


JK - In JK we did some GoNoodle games and activities in the classroom to get the kids comfortable with me, the other students, and moving our bodies.
We are learning about rules in gym and how we follow instructions from Ms. Yustin

SK - We played lots of our games from last year so the kids could get familiar with the rules again! We played follow the leader so the kids could get familiar with different moves we do in the gym!
Grade 1 - We played Mission Impossible, Pacman Tag, Freezedance, Ship to Shore!

Grade 2 - We played Dodgeball and did our cross country try outs!

Grade 3 - Health - We learned about the 5 food groups, did a cross word puzzle finding words and categorizing it.
Games - We played "Mission Impossible" Dodgeball, and regular dodgeball! The kids also wanted to play Mission Impossible tag!
