Hi There,

Hope you all had a lovely Easter weekend!

This past week we played many games and begun our new unit of Locomotion and Movement!

The students are learning that there are different ways we can move our body instead of just walking, and skipping, and running, etc...

Below are some pictures from the week.

We played a game called Hula Family where I call out a movement (whether it be - skip, hop, jump, walk backwards) the kids need to jump into the hula hoop and the last group in needs to go back to the starting line.

Tuesday/ Wed- In the class as Auditorium was booked- Go Noodle Dancing! - I was happy to be able to incorporate Go Noodle workouts as part of my new unit with the kids!

Some classes were able to get gym 1 when the MYP weren't in their gyms.

We played Cat and Mouse - a game for hand - eye coordination where the child underhand tosses a ball and the other child on the other side has to trap it with a cone.

Thursday - My morning classes were in the gym and the afternoon half was in the class because of the silent dance for Autism Awareness Day!

I played a new game. It is a relay race and the kids need to pick up a tennis ball on a cone and bring it back while touching all of the cones!

All classes received 5 STARS this week.

Have a great week.

Alexandra
