Good Evening! I hope everyone had a great weekend.
Here are some pictures from this weeks gym class!
Unfortunately I had strep throat this past week and had to stay home Monday and Tuesday!
Wednesday - We played freeze dance, and I see I see. These games will help children see that we can move different parts of our bodies easily! I see I see is a game where someone shouts "I see I see" and the class says "What do you see" then the person who is it gets to choose an animal and movement. eg. I see a snake slithering through the grass.
The children would then get on the ground and pretend they're a snake slithering through the grass!
Thursday - Stations!
1. ABC workout - Children read the legend and did the alphabet workout.
2. Yoga and Balancing poses - Children followed the picture chart and copied the poses on the mat
3. Gymnastic moves - Somersaults, cartwheels, balancing, rolls, log rolls, etc...
4. Balance beam - children walked along the balance beam and jumped onto the mats doing a fun jump!
Friday - The morning classes continued from Thursday and played Fun Friday games of their choice, and the afternoon classes went outside, the classes either chose to play a game on the sports court, or play on the play structure.
Have a great week!
